Kyu/Dan Keiko Studies Matrix PDF Print E-mail

Appropriate lessons are taught in Kosho Shorei Shin Kai, and at Bushidokai for each student, based on their age and skill-level. This is actually done on an individual basis, but general universal standard minimum skill-sets are taught and evaluated for each rank as well. These are called our "Kyu/Dan Keiko" for each age.

Kyu/Dan Keiko
"Kyu" students are beginners: those under the rank of Shodan/First Degree Black Belt.  "Dan" students, or Yudansha are intermediate and advanced students.  The Japanese word "Keiko", which translates to "meditation on the ancient teachings", best describes how we study, train, practice, and evolve as students and human beings through the art of Kosho Shorei Ryu.
