KSSK Dojo are under the leadership of instructors who fall under two broad categories.  Uchi Kyoka (Inner Studies) Dojo are headed up by Sensei who have studied directly with Kai Cho LoPriore (the KSSK Headmaster) for at least ten years, and have earned at least the rank of Nidan (Second Degree Black Belt).  Soto Kyoka (Outer Studies) Dojo are led by Sensei who live too far away from Hombu Dojo to study with Kai Cho directly on a frequent, regular basis.  They have been taught in a manner appropriate for their geographical location and experience level, and been evaluated and granted permission to teach and rank students up to a specific rank level.

Official KSSK Kosho Shorei Ryu Study Groups

KSSK's Official Study Groups are under the leadership of instructors who fall under two categories as well.  Most of the Study Group Leaders (SGLs) of these organizations have studied with Kai Cho LoPriore directly at Hombu Dojo for at least two years (the average is five years, the maximum is nine).  These SGLs have been granted permission to start a group in a new location they have moved to.  Others are black belt teachers of other arts who live far from Hombu Dojo, and who have asked to study Kosho Shorei Ryu under Kai Cho LoPriore, passed certain character- and skill-developmental tests, and been granted permission to lead study groups.  All SGLs are required to be members in good standing of KSSK, and train annually directly with Kai Cho LoPriore.
