The CHEAT DEATH system trains federal agents, state troopers, police officers, and military personnel versus short-range surprise attacks where primary weapons cannot be deployed due to unavailable reaction time, space limitations, or lack of training. The system offers advanced pain-compliance, submission and striking methods. What really sets it apart is the inclusion of advanced specialized Kyusho-jutsu vital point striking and grabbing. Doors and hallways are often considered “portals of death” by agents. CHEAT DEATH training will show that these difficult circumstances can be easily turned around and used to the agents’ advantage in a surprise attack situation, even if assaulted with edged, projectile or other deadly weapons.
Techniques of Tai Sabaki body movement can be mastered which will allow agents to be in the right place relative to the attacker(s), and to keep them weakened and off-balance, allowing for a quick, effective, and safer resolution to the situation. Students will learn to embody proper alignments, upper/lower body connection, right-left coordination, good technical form, flow of movement, and power-maximizing skills which will give them both effective leverage, and great power delivered when it is necessary to strike attackers. These skills, combined with a trained, effective use of peripheral awareness, striking techniques to targeted vital points, and highly-effective joint-locking, throwing, pinning, and arresting techniques make this an essential program for those who want to maximize their combat potency, and minimize potential injury.
David LoPriore Sensei, Lead Founder of the CHEAT DEATH System, is Headmaster of Kosho Shorei Shin Kai, an international organization offering the highest-caliber traditional and practical personal combat and submission/compliance training appropriate for use by federal law enforcement agents. state troopers, police officers and military personnel within use-of-force policies, as well as martial artists. Sensei is a 25-year veteran professional martial arts teacher, and a Connecticut State Licensed Acupuncturist who has been practicing Asian Medicine for 20 years. The arts he has advanced training in provide for his unique ability to teach and deliver Kyusho-Jutsu vital point knock-outs, and submission techniques proven highly-effective in dealing with lethal, up-close and personal surprise attacks, especially versus edged weapons.

Special Terminology:
Kyusho-jutsu- The very rare and ancient Japanese samurai art of vital point combat techniques.
CHEAT DEATH- An acronym for an unarmed law-enforcement personal defense, arrest and survival system versus potentially lethal attacks. This system was developed in 1997 by Sensei LoPriore and two of his students. The acronym stands for “Close-quarters Hard-style Evasive Action Tactics & Deployment of Expert Acu-point/Arrest TecHniques”.
Uniqueness of training:
There simply is no other training at this level in this context available in the US. Sensei LoPriore has been teaching for over 20 years, and is uniquely qualified to offer this training.
Sensei LoPriore’s background includes 25 years of practical, traditional Japanese martial arts training. He is an Eighth Degree Black Belt in Kosho Shorei Ryu, which is the parent art of Sei-Kempo martial arts, from which the most advanced Kyusho-Jutsu vital point techniques come. LoPriore has taken this to an advanced degree of sophistication as a practitioner of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for the last twenty years. He has also been a student of traditional jujutsu for the last 20 years. He is a certified Study Group Leader recognized by Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu Kodo Kai, which is headquartered in Kitami, Japan. His teacher, Roy Goldberg Sensei is a Sixth Degree Black Belt in Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu Kodo Kai, and the first non-Japanese to ever reach this rank. Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu is the parent art of all jujutsu styles, and was the art of the samurai tasked with the personal protection of the Emperor of Japan for centuries. Although none of its secret techniques are permitted to be taught in the CHEAT DEATH program, the jujutsu locks and throws of Kosho Shorei Ryu Sei-Kempo have been strongly influenced by these effective joint-locks, throws and pinning techniques.
